The preservation of Indian classical arts increasingly depends on more than performances on stage. As part of the initiative, Vikram Kumar B R authored and helped distribute more than 10,000 complimentary copies of biographical publications connected with the celebrated Kuchipudi guru. The books include “The Reformer”, written in English, and “Kuchipudi Vythalikudu”, published in Telugu.
The decision to distribute the books without charge reflects an emphasis on cultural accessibility. Rather than treating biographical material only as commercial publications, the initiative sought to place information about an important Kuchipudi personality into the hands of students, practitioners, cultural enthusiasts and institutions.
